In the latest draw that took place on 18th July 2019, Prince Edward Island issued a sum of 135 new invites for candidates in its Express Entry labour impact and business stream pool. The invites were issued under it PNP program called the PEI PNP. The PNP programs send invites to skilled workers, international students and business people to apply for Canada Permanent Residency visa.
The Canadian PEI PNP’s Express Entry program is linked with the Federal Express Entry Program, which permits Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class to apply for Canada Permanent Residency Visa after the candidate is being issued a nomination from the province.
All those who are in Federal Express Entry pool and get nomination selection from a province will get extra 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and will clearly get an invitation to apply for PR visa to Canada.
Coming back to the present, the recent draw stream that is the Labour Impact Category isn’t connected with the Express Entry. PEI’s Labour Impact Category is divided into three streams – Skilled Workers (in PEI and outside Canada), International Graduates and professionals.
The candidates who are looking to apply for any of these streams, must have a work history in PEI or have a qualified full time, employment from the business of a similar profile plus should meet the other qualification criteria set by the Canadian migration office. The, the qualified candidates for each class will enter into a pool where they are chosen on the basis of the score given.
The Candidates with higher- scores are then invited to apply for Canada immigration. The PEI PNP does not clearly mention the cut-off score for Express Entry and Labour Impact streams in its recent draw. The minimum cut-off score for the Business stream however is given, that is the candidates with 112 points are invited to set up a business in to the province.
