Eligibility Requirements for the Australian Work Visa

  • Age- If your age is between 25 to 33 years, then the maximum number of points you would receive is 30. 
  • Study (in a region of Australia)- If you have studied in Australia you’ll gain 5 additional points.  
  • Study (Outside Australia)- Those who have completed their doctorates from another country than Australia will gain 20 points.
  • Language- If you have around 8 bands in IELTS, then you could have a chance to score a total of 20 points! 
  • Community Language- Knowing any community language in Australia will get you 5 points! 
  • Work experience (In Australia)- If a candidate has around 8 to 10 years of Australian work experience, then they get 20 points. 
  • Work experience (Outside Australia)- For work experience of 8 to 10 years outside of Australia, the candidate receives 15 points. 
  • Spouse Skills and Qualifications- If your spouse has met all the eligibility requirements, then you get an additional 10 points for that. But if your spouse has only met the requirement of the English language, then you get only 5 points. Additionally, for those without a spouse, they get 10 points.

Types of Australian Visas

1. Australian Permanent Work Permit:
  • Distinguished Talent Visa- If you have made your name in the field of arts, science, or sports, you can obtain this visa to immigrate to Australia
  • Skilled Independent Visa- You don’t need a sponsor for this visa. Only those who are skilled in their work can apply for this particular visa.
