How to Apply for Canada Visitor Visa?

Follow these steps to apply for Canada visitor visa from India in very simple steps:

Step 1: Create an IRCC account or sign in to your already existing account. Also, learn about the eligibility criteria beforehand so you know that you qualify for the visa. Once you ensure that you qualify for Canada visitor visa, collect your passport and your credit card for online visa fee payment.

Step 2: On the IRCC portal, select the temporary resident visa or visitor visa option. Also, choose the reason for which you need the visa. The portal will get you a list of documents that you would need to submit. 

Step 3: The portal will ask you some questions that you need to answer. You must answer these questions truthfully. Fill in the required information whenever it’s asked for.

Step 4: Based on the questions, upload the required documents in any of the following formats:

  • .tiff
  • .jpg
  • .png
  • .doc
  • .docx
  • .pdf

Step 5: Pay the visitor visa application fee of CAN $100 and submit your application. Keep in mind that your application will remain valid in the IRCC portal for 60 days or 2 months from the date you begin filing it. Hence, you can take about 60 days to file your Canada visitor visa application but not more than 2 months. 

The IRCC will process your application and if its approved, you will receive the decision in the IRCC portal.

  • Use of a representative (if required)
  • Family information (if required)
  • Minor children (if applicable)
  • Travel itinerary
  • Bank account statement
  • Authority to release personal information to a designated individual (usually required)
