Express Entry: Document Checklist

When immigrating through Express Entry, you need to first create a profile and receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from an Express Entry draw. Only after receiving an ITA can you apply for PR through Express Entry. 

Though you won’t be required to “upload” any documents at the time of profile creation, you still need information from these documents which can only be accessible to you once you have them.

Provincial Nominee Program: Document Checklist 

There are two ways by which you can obtain a PR through the PNP. You may either apply through the Express Entry process under PNP or choose the non-Express Entry way. 

In the first case, just add the provincial nomination that the province or territory has issued to your Express Entry profile and you are good to go. In the second case, you receive a provincial nomination and use the PR portal to fill out the PR application.
