To be eligible for the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream, you need to meet the following criteria:

  1. In your Express Entry profile, you must receive a Letter of Interest (this means, you must be invited to apply for a nomination)
  2. Within 30 days of being invited, you have to submit a completed nomination application
  3. Have required work experience (this means, meet the minimum criteria of the Express Entry program you qualify for)
  4. Have adequate funds to sustain yourself in the province and take care of your dependents
  5. Have legal status in the country where you are living in
  6. Be eligible at the time of receiving a Letter of Interest
  7. Be in the Express Entry pool

Step 1: Obtain Educational Credential Assessment or have Canadian academic certificates to prove the same, and create an Express Entry profile. In your profile, choose Nova Scotia as one of the provinces and territories where you want to immigrate.

Step 2: Enter the Express Entry pool and wait for Nova Scotia to select you for nomination.

Step 4: If NSNP nominates you, it is important that you accept the nomination within 30 days and apply for permanent residency within 12 months/1 year.

Step 5: IRCC will process your PR visa application and may take about 12 months for the same. Once you become a PR, arrive in Canada and inform Nova Scotia about the same within 30 days of the same.
