What are OINP Tech Draws?

The OINP tech draws issue NOIs or Notification of Interest to applicants who are eligible for Human Capital Priorities Stream. The OINP tech draws issue NOIs to applicants with work experience in a selected list of technological occupations. These draws facilitate organizations and businesses in Ontario to recruit and invite the top tech talent from the Express Entry pool. To receive a Notification of Interest through the Ontario Tech draws you must:

  • Have a valid and active Express Entry profile
  • Be eligible for Human Capital Priorities stream
  • Have work experience in the eligible tech occupations.

List of Tech draws throughout the years

There have been 12 tech targeted draws since the year 2019, and have issued 12,352 Notifications of Interest till now. The latest tech draw was held on 19th December , 2022.

Besides the OINP tech draw, the Human Capital Priorities stream also holds general OINP draws that offer Notification of Interest to all eligible applicants. Other programs that issue NOIs in OINP draws are:

Once you receive a Notification of Interest in the OINP tech draw, you must apply to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program within 45 days. Upload all the required documents and pay a $1500 application fee. Your application will be processed within 70-100 days. Once your application is approved, you will receive a nomination certification through an email. You will also receive a notification of nomination in your IRCC Express Entry account. You must accept the provincial nomination within 30 days. Once you accept the nomination, you will get additional 600 CRS points in your account. Apply to IRCC for Canada PR within 60 days of receiving an ITA in the Express Entry draws.
