78 EOIs Issued Through Prince Edward Island PNP Latest Draw

In its latest draw, Prince Edward Island has issued 78 EOIs to candidates from various occupations. The next PEI PNP draw is anticipated to be held on 15th February 2024.

Latest PEI PNP draw: 1 Feb 2024

In its latest EOI draw, Prince Edward Island only sent Expression of Interest to 78 candidates. These candidates were already working in industries such as Manufacturing, Early Childhood Education, Construction, Healthcare, Agriculture, and Food Processing.

In this round, no EOIs were sent to candidates to apply for a work permit so they could work in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island.

In the last draws as well we have seen that most of the EOIs are sent to candidates through the PEI Express Entry and Labour category stream. And less emphasis is placed on the work permit stream. This is because the chronic crisis of labor shortage is felt across Canada.

And this directly means that no province or territory of Canada has been unaffected by this crisis. To resolve this issue, Canada has been inviting more and more workers from across the world.

In light of inviting more skilled workers, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted one of the biggest draws on 1 February 2024. The 282 EE draw invited 7,000 from the French Language Proficiency category. Moreover, the CRS cut-off dropped down to 365 points, one of the lowest cut-off requirements in a while. And, as you can see, it was a category-based Express Entry draw

However, this doesn’t mean that anyone can immigrate to Canada. One has to be eligible to be selected by the respective immigration program that they applied through.
