Ontario Draw: Two Rounds of Draws in under 7 Days  

In just under 7 days, Ontario held two rounds of draws. The first round was conducted between 11 August-16 August, 2023. And the second round on 16th August. 

In the first round, the province called for 2,084 candidates from the Tech and Health Occupations. The CRS score range for this round was 473-516.

Similar to that, the second round also invited candidates from Tech and Health Occupations. It’s just that the CRS score range dropped to 473-495 and likewise the invitations also reduced to 751. 

For both the rounds of draws, candidates needed to meet the CRS score criteria and have work experience in the following NOC codes. 

Tech Occupations 

For the tech occupations, the below given NOC codes were eligible. 

  • NOC 20012- Computer and information systems managers
  • NOC 21211- Data scientists
  • NOC 21223- Database analysts and data administrators
  • NOC 21230- Computer systems developers and programmers
  • NOC 21231- Software engineers and designers
  • NOC 21232- Software developers and programmers
  • NOC 21233- Web designers
  • NOC 21234- Web developers and programmers
  • NOC 21311- Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)

Health Occupations

In the health occupations, NOC codes mentioned below are eligible. 

  • NOC 30010- Managers in health care
  • NOC 31100- Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
  • NOC 31101- Specialists in surgery
  • NOC 31102- General practitioners and family physicians
  • NOC 31103- Veterinarians
  • NOC 31110- Dentists
  • NOC 31111- Optometrists
  • NOC 31112- Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
  • NOC 31120- Pharmacists
  • NOC 31121- Dietitians and nutritionists
  • NOC 31201- Chiropractors
  • NOC 31202- Physiotherapists

  • NOC 31204- Kinesiologists and other professional occupations in therapy and assessment

Saskatchewan Draw

The Saskatchewan draw was conducted on 16 August, 2023. This draw was held after a long wait, as previously the draw came out on 8 June, and nothing since then. Moreover, Saskatchewan has called for candidates from various parts of the world. For instance, a  number of invitations are only for candidates residing in India or Poland or Germany, etc. 

Though the total number of candidates invited is 642, this number is split into different groups, based on several factors. 

The first round of draw conducted invited 431 candidates. The minimum score considered is 60. Further, these are the candidates residing in Canada. Also, not all the occupations were selected, but the ones selected are mentioned below:-

  • 00015, 13101, 21120, 22212, 22232, 22300, 22303, 70010, 72010, 72011, 72012, 72013, 72014, 72020, 72021, 72100, 72106, 72200, 72300, 72301, 72320, 72400, 72401, 72410, 72500, 73112

The second round of Saskatchewan draw invited 176 candidates, with a minimum score of 60. Also, these candidates are residing in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Czechia, Germany, and Slovakia.

The third round conducted, sent out 35 invitations to those living in Ireland. The minimum score remains the same as the above two rounds, which is 60.

Prince Edward Island Draw

Prince Edward Island issued a total of 142 invitations. The streams that called for candidates are- Labour & Express Entry, and the Business work permit Entrepreneur. 

4 candidates scoring either 102 or above received invitations to apply from the Business work permit Entrepreneur stream. And the 138 candidates from the Labour & Express Entry stream with minimum score of 50 received invitations.
