Ontario First PNP Draw of 2024; 1,451 ITAs Issued

In the first draw of 2024, Ontario invited 1,451 eligible candidates in this draw, the PNP draw was conducted on 09th January, 2024.

Ontario conducted its first draw of the year 2024 on 9 Jan, inviting 1,451 candidates to apply for PR. These ITAs were sent through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. 

The Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream is a non-Express Entry stream that invites candidates directly to apply for permanent residency.

The first round of draws invited candidates from the Skilled Trades Occupations. In the latest Ontario PNP draw, 630 candidates scoring either 33 or above points received invitations. 

Moreover, these candidates needed a job offer in one of the following national occupational classification (NOC) codes:

  • NOC 22212 – Drafting technologists and technicians
  • NOC 22301 – Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians
  • NOC 22302 – Industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists and technicians
  • NOC 22311 – Electronic service technicians (household and business equipment)
  • NOC 22312 – Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics
  • NOC 70010 – Construction managers
  • NOC 70011 – Home building and renovation managers
  • NOC 70012 – Facility operation and maintenance managers
  • NOC 72010 – Contractors and supervisors, machining, metal forming, shaping and erecting trades and related occupations
  • NOC 72011 – Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications occupations
  • NOC 72012 – Contractors and supervisors, pipefitting trades
  • NOC 72013 – Contractors and supervisors, carpentry trades
  • NOC 72014 – Contractors and supervisors, other construction trades, installers, repairers and servicers

The other round of draw targeted candidates from the Health and Tech occupations. To receive an ITA under the latest Ontario PNP draw, all 851 candidates needed 40 points or above.
