Manitoba conducted its 184th draw and in it, the Canadian province targeted a total of 587 people to grant them permanent residency. Prince Edward Island also nominated some candidates under the labor and Express Entry stream. This time, Prince Edward Island did not invite candidates from the Business and Entrepreneur stream.

So all in all, PEI and Manitoba invites 600+ to apply for permanent residency in the recent updated draws.

From the above information available, we can see that a total of 90 candidates received invitations. These candidates belonged to the labor and Express Entry category.

On 29th June, 2023, Manitoba conducted a draw in which it invited 587 candidates from three streams. Candidates belonged to three streams- Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas, and International Education Stream.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

There were two subcategories under this stream; first one is Occupation-specific selection, and the other All Occupations.

As the name suggests, Occupation-specific selection targetes candidates from certain occupations only to fill in the labor needs of the province. A total of 315 candidates were invited under this sub category, with lowest ranking candidates scoring 613. The candidates belonged to the below categories:-

60030 – Restaurant and food service managers
62020 – Food service supervisors
65201 – Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers and related support occupations

All those candidates not considered in the occupation specific category received invitations under the all occupations category. 184 invitations were sent out with the lowest ranking candidate having a ranking score of 662 only.

Skilled Worker Overseas

Those candidates’ profiles that declared direct invitation by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program under Strategic Recruitment Initiative were considered in this category.

A total of 26 letters of advice to apply for permanent residency were sent out. And the lowest ranking candidate had a score of 717.
