Steps to get a French student visa
Step 1: Apply to a French Institution
Begin by applying to a government-recognized university or college in France. Once accepted, you'll receive a formal admission letter required for the Campus France process.
Step 2: Register on Campus France
Create an account on the Campus France India portal and submit all required academic and admission documents. An interview is usually scheduled post-document verification.
Step 3: Attend Campus France Interview
Participate in the academic interview conducted by Campus France officers. This step is crucial for obtaining the No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is needed for your visa application.
Step 4: Book Visa Appointment with VFS
Once you receive the NOC, book your visa appointment with VFS France. Submit all documents in person and pay the visa fee.
Step 5: Wait for Visa Decision
The French Embassy typically takes 2 to 4 weeks to process your long-stay visa application. During this time, they may request additional documents if needed.
Step 6: Travel to France and Validate Your Visa
After arriving in France, validate your VLS-TS visa. You must do this within 3 months of arrival.
