What is a Netherlands Study Visa?
International students from non-EU/EEA countries who plan to study in the Netherlands for longer than 90 days must apply for a Provisional Residence Permit (MVV) and a Residence Permit for Study. Both are processed through the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND), typically with the help of your chosen Dutch educational institution.
This visa allows you to live and study legally in the Netherlands for the duration of your academic program. The MVV (long-stay visa) is issued first to allow entry into the Netherlands, followed by a residence permit after arrival.
Documents checklist for a Netherlands student visa
As per the Dutch IND and universities you will require:

- Provisional Residence Permit (MVV) application form

- Tuberculosis test declaration (for certain countries)
- Birth certificate (legalized and translated if necessary)
