995 workers and international students invited in Ontario PNP Draw

“International students and temporary foreign workers having profiles in Ontario’s EOI system were invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.”

On September 21, Ontario issued a second set of invitations, requesting 995 people to apply for a provincial nomination.

Candidates who have profiles in the Expression of Interest (EOI) pool were invited by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates may have been eligible for one of two types of Employer Job Offers.

A total of 406 people who might be qualified for the Foreign Worker Stream were invited. A minimum score of 37 was required for these candidates. Because it was a broad draw, there were no specific jobs or geography criteria.

Another 523 students were asked to apply for a nomination in the International Student Stream’s general draw. To be invited, these individuals needed an EOI score of at least 61.

The OINP also sent out 66 invitations to immigrants who had registered for the Regional Immigration Pilot and who would be eligible for the same two Employer Job Offer streams. Foreign workers received 36 invitations, while international students received 30.
