The Canadian government in its latest Express Entry draw on June 26 invited 3,350 new Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent resident. The draws held on June 26, witnessed the cut-off score to be 462, which is 3 points lower than previous draw held on June 12. The score has consecutively decreased for the second time, since the Express Entry draws held on May 29.
The Express Entry stream currently manages 3 major immigration streams for Canada. The three streams are:
– Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).
– Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
– Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
The candidates who are eligible for the above categories gain access into the Express Entry pool. Every candidate is assigned a unique Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS score) on factors such as, age, language proficiency, work experience, educational qualifications, etc. The candidate does not require having a job offer from Canada, to be eligible for the Express Entry pool.
Candidates with the highest scores are then issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence by the Canadian government. The IRCC focuses on having more draws and issuing more ITAs in the future.
Canada up till now, has issued a total of 41,800 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence. Canada introduced its Express Entry system in the year 2015, and with its fast processing time and its point system has become one of the most popular immigrating programs.
