293 immigration candidates were invited in new Alberta PNP draw

“Candidates with CRS score as low as 300 have been invited for PNP draw by Alberta through Alberta Express Entry Stream.”

The recent PNP draw of Alberta was held on October 12.

293 Express Entry candidates were invited through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) with CRS score as low as 300 for provincial nominee program.

This was the first ever PNP draw held by Alberta in the month of October. Alberta staged four Alberta Express Entry stream drawings in September, each with a minimum score requirement of 300. Last month alone, 1,610 invitations were sent out.

Since resuming invitation rounds in January 2021, Alberta has invited 5,910 Express Entry candidates to file for a provincial nomination. In the latter months of 2020, it went on a brief halt. Express Entry candidates are invited to file for a nomination certificate, which would help them with their permanent residency application. Alberta is permitted to issue 6,250 nomination certificates this year.

How does the Alberta Express Entry Stream works?

The Alberta Express Entry Stream is a more advanced version of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). It enables the provincial government to search the federal government’s Express Entry pool of candidates for candidates who might be eligible for a provincial nomination.

The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program all use Express Entry as their application management system.

You will be given a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System if you are eligible for Express Entry (CRS). You earn points based on your age, education, work experience, English or French language skills, and other things.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Canada’s immigration service, organises Express Entry drawings on a regular basis, inviting the top-scoring individuals to apply for permanent residency.

It is possible to immigrate without a provincial nomination through the Express Entry system; however, persons with lower CRS scores may choose to apply for a PNP. Provincial nominees receive an automatic 600-point boost to their overall score. If the lowest-scoring candidates in the new Alberta lottery are nominated, their new CRS scores will be 900, which will be more than enough to be invited to the next Express Entry draw.
