British Columbia Second PNP Draw: 193+ Candidates Invited

The province of British Columbia of Canada conducted its most recent draw of 2024 on 16th January. This is the second draw of this year and British Columbia PNP has already invited over 565 candidates to apply for permanent residency.

British Columbia conducted the latest draw on 16th Jan 2024. The draw invited over 193 candidates while the minimum score considered was 60 points. 

In the latest draw, the province has issued invitations to several occupations, such as tech, childcare, healthcare, construction, etc. Most of the candidates invited are from tech occupations while the least belong to veterinary care.

Invitations to Apply Issued to which occupations?

British Columbia has issued invitations to the following occupations:

  • Tech Occupations
  • Healthcare Occupations
  • Childcare Occupations
  • Construction Occupations
  • Veterinary Care 

The streams in this round of draw remained the same for all, which were Skilled Worker and International Graduate (this includes EEBC option).  

As for the number of candidates invited, let’s start with the tech occupations. Out of more than 193 candidates, 91 of them were from the tech occupations. The minimum score for tech workers was 103 points. 

Next comes the childcare occupations and from this one, 53 candidates were issued ITAs to apply for PR. The minimum score required for this draw type was 60 points. 

A similar minimum score requirement was for healthcare occupations. As for the number of invitations, 29 ITAs were for this occupation. 

On the other hand, only 20 and less than 5 invitations to apply for Canada PR were for Construction and Veterinary care draw types respectively. 

The minimum score for the construction draw type was 75 points. And as for veterinary care, the minimum score was 60 points.
