Latest Express Entry Draw 273: French Language Proficiency


The latest Express Entry Draw 273 was a category-based selection exclusively for French Language Proficiency. This was the second consecutive draw after a month-long pause by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Latest Express Draw 273 was a category-based selection meant for the Express Entry profiles who had NCLC 7 in their language proficiency tests. IRCC accepts TEF and TCF as the proficiency tests for the French language. The Comprehensive Ranking System or CRS score cut-off was 16 points lower than the previous draw for French language proficiency. The ITAs issued also saw a drastic increase of 700 profiles.

The latest Express Entry draw 273 was a category-based selection. Category-based selections invite Express Entry profiles from one or more of the following six categories:

  • French Language Proficiency
  • Healthcare professionals
  • STEM occupations
  • Trade occupations
  • Transport occupations
  • Agriculture and Agri-food occupations

To be eligible for the category-based selection, you will need to be in the Express Entry pool.
