Quebec’s First Draw of Nov, 2023

Quebec recently held its first draw of November in which it invited more than 1200 immigrants. These immigrants had a score of either 609 points or higher to be eligible. 

Date: 16 Nov, 2023

Invitations: 1,210

Minimum Score: 609 points

The candidates invited were required to have a job offer that would be outside the territory of the Metropolitan community of Montreal. Other requirements of this round of Quebec draw was that they must score at least 609 points or above that. Moreover, the candidates also had a French language proficiency of level 7 or above.

Quebec holds draws according to its labor market needs, economical stability and after considering other factors as well. Based on Canada – Quebec Accord, the province is free to determine its permanent resident targets and invite candidates in any way. 

On the other hand, other provinces and territories of Canada come under the direction of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and can only invite as many immigrants as they are permitted in a year.
