Express Entry is the fastest and the most reliable immigration program in Canada. Skilled or professional workers intending to work and settle down in Canada can apply for Express Entry easily. But first, they must be eligible for the program. Further, eligibility in Express Entry is calculated based on Canada PR points calculator system.
Its points are calculated based on several factors, such as age, language requirements, etc. So, in this blog, we will discuss these factors, what points these factors have and how Express Entry points are calculated. Without further ado, let’s begin then!
Canada PR Points Calculator
Canada PR points calculator is a tool which Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses to rank profiles in the Express Entry pool.
When an individual chooses Express Entry to immigrate to Canada, they first create an Express Entry profile. In the profile they put in their information related to their education, language requirements, work experience, etc. Moreover, after submitting the profile, if it’s found eligible, it is put in the Express Entry pool with other profiles. In the pool, the profile is given a rank based on the skills and experience it mentioned in the profile. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) assess profiles and ranks them.
An Express Entry profile receives scores out of 1,200 points. Also, one can also increase their CRS score.
There are thousands and thousands of profiles in the Express Entry pool, waiting for Express Entry draws to be conducted so they could receive Invitation to Apply (ITA). The ITAs are issued to higher ranking profiles and so, if you have a high CRS score, your chances of getting Canada PR increases.
Express Entry points are calculated based on the below given factors:
- Age (Max. 110 points)
- Language Proficiency (Max. 160 points)
- Work Experience (Max. 80 points)
- Education (Max. 150 points)
- Additional Factors (Max. 600 points)
Let’s discuss how these 1,200 points are allotted.
