Ontario PNP Business Stream For Entrepreneur
Ontario PNP invites entrepreneur under this stream. But the immigration criteria for this is very detailed and stringent because they don’t want any unauthorised person to enter the country.
Application procedure
Initial process involves making a profile on Ontario PNP’s portal and submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI). Along with other documents, it also requires the entrepreneurs to submit a business plan and also their personal net worth. Ontario PNP gives them 18-20 months to execute their business plan. On successful execution of this, they receive an official provincial nomination.
List of ineligible businesses
Though the immigrating entrepreneurs can formulate and submit a business plan in any business of their choice, however, there are some business in which they can’t. This is done to ensure that the best minds come to the most profitable businesses and not to something which doesn’t add much to the local economy.
Therefore, the Ontario immigration applicants coming through this stream need to avoid venturing out in the following businesses:
- Gas stations
- Tire recycling
- Scrap metal recycling
- Pawnbrokers
- Bed and breakfasts
- Holding companies
- Laundromats
- Automated car wash operations
- Per day loan and related businesses
- Businesses which have been previously owned/operated by current or former OPNP business stream nominees
