Quebec Immigration for Skilled Workers

Periodically, the Quebec Ministry of Immigration (MIFI) sends invitations to submit applications for the QSWP latest draw via the Arrima system for Quebec Expressions of Interest.

Each Expression of Interest draw’s precise requirements are published by MIFI. After getting an invitation, candidates have 60 days to complete their applications.

Invitations to apply for the QSWP latest draw are extended to selected individuals. Candidates who are accepted are given a Quebec Selection Certificate, which enables them to submit a permanent residency application to the federal government.

In July 2019, Quebec started sending out the first invitations to applicants for the QSWP latest draw using a new system called Arrima. Also get to know about the required documents, processing time and fees.

Quebec Immigration News

1. QSWP’s latest draw was held by the Quebec immigration program using the Arrima Expression of Interest system, and 58 applicants for immigration to Canada received invitations.

Candidates having a job offer from a business outside the Montreal metropolitan region were specifically targeted for the August 11 draw. There was no minimum score needed in the Quebec Expression of Interest points structure.

The Quebec immigration program for  Skilled Workers requires applicants to submit a comprehensive application within 60 days after obtaining an invitation.

2. 351 applicants received invites following a QSWP latest draw that Quebec Immigration performed using the Arrima Expression of Interest system.

Depending on the invitation category, the minimum scores for the draw on July 7 ranged from 551 to 624 on the Quebec Expression of Interest points system. There are 1,320 points available in total.

Candidates in different categories were sought after in the draw:

  • Applicants with a score of 551 or above and qualifications in the National Occupational Classification code 4214 for aides and educators of young children.
  • Candidates who have received a job offer from a company outside the Greater Montreal Area.

3. 30 Candidates having a job offer from a company outside the Montreal metropolitan region were specifically targeted for the May 5 draw. There was no minimum score needed in the Quebec Expression of Interest points structure.

4. Candidates having an offer letter from a company outside the Montreal metropolitan region were specifically targeted for the April 7 draw. EOI issued invitations to 33 Canada immigration applicants.

Candidates having knowledge of and expertise in one of the 20 NOC codes were the focus of the draw. Additionally, individuals with employment offers from employers outside the Greater Montreal Area were targeted.

6. The Quebec Expression issued invitations to 306 Canada immigration candidates, and the Interest points system needed a minimum score of 630 for the draw on February 21.

7. The Quebec Expression of Interest points system needed a minimum score of 592 for the draw on February 10. Invitations are issued to 523 applicants.

8. Invitations were sent to 322 applicants who satisfied one of two requirements after the draw on January 27.

  • According to the Quebec Expression of Interest scoring system, they received a minimum score of 647. 
  • They had a viable employment offer outside of the Greater Montreal Area.

9. Quebec Expression of Interest points required a minimum score of 602 in order to enter the draw on January 24. The invitations were issued to 512 candidates.
