285 Express Entry Draw: Another Category-based draw of the week

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted the third draw of this week on 16th Feb 2024. This was a Category-based Express Entry draw for candidates in the Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations.

285 Express Entry Draw – 16 Feb 2024

Draw Number: 285
Date of Draw: 16.02.2024
Day of Draw: Friday
ITAs issued: 150
CRS score cut-off: 437
Draw Type: Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations

Since the launch of Category-based EE draws, IRCC has only invited 1,150 candidates from the Agriculture and Agri-Food Occupations so far. There were three rounds of draws in all for the same category and over the draws, the CRS score requirement was found to be pretty low as well.

Below are the past three instances where IRCC conducted draws for candidates in the Agriculture occupations.

As we can see, there’s not much demand for candidates in the agriculture occupations but it is still one of the selected categories for Category-based draws in 2024. IRCC made an announcement recently that the previously selected categories will go on for 2024 too.

Apart from the EE draw, Prince Edward Island also conducted a draw on 15 Feb 2024. Let’s take a look at it next.
